According to this [millenniumfalcon.com], the upcoming DVD Releases of the original Star Wars films are going to feature several alterations. One of the more upleasant changes:
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi:
* Hayden Christenson has replaced Sebastian Shaw only in the Force Ghost shot.

My question is… why would Anakin’s ghost be young, when both Yoda’s and Obi wan’s ghosts are both old?
Perhaps this is a hoax… but who knows… I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if this has actually been done.

he’s young because, as ben explains, when he became darth vader anakin skywalker ceased to exist! so he kinda died young…
if he died as a lad then who/what killed the emperor? it was anakin, not vader.
It Makes sence because Obi Wan and Yoda both look the way they died as jedi. So it only makes sence that Anakins ghost is young because that was when the jedi part of him died.
Hows does the anakin from return of the jedi’s ghost look like the anakin from the newer star wars if its the same guy he should be atleast 20 years older. This has been bothering me for a while. Anyone know whats up with that?
